Marcella M. Olson , 91, of Clearfield died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born on February 21, 1921 in Kitchener, Ontario, a daughter of the late Alex and Josephine (Kieswetter) Martz.
Mrs. Olson was a homemaker and a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield
She is survived by two sons Dave Olson and wife Kathy of Treasure Lake and Steven Olson and wife Toni Duchi of Port Matilda; five grandchildren Sabrina Olson, David Olson, Jr. and wife Janna, Desiree Thropp and husband Jason, Jenna and S. Morgan Olson; four great grandchildren Brittany, Hayley, Joslyn and Aiden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Olson on November 15, 1971; a sister Eileen Massel and a brother Edgar Martz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville on Wednesday at 10:30 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:45 AM .
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, Landmarks Building, 100 West Station Square Drive, 1st Floor, Suite 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Suite D, Altoona, PA 16601.
