Margaret A. 'Peg' Luce, 96, of Clearfield died on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on April 11, 1927 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Moffatt) Bigelow.
Mrs. Luce retired from the Clearfield Cheese Company after 15 years or employment. She had previously worked at Murphy's, Clearfield.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812, Clearfield
She is survived by her children, R. Paul Luce and wife Sue of Mesquite, TX, William Luce and wife Cheryl of Aiken, SC, and Judy Alex and husband Dan of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Eugene Alex, Wendy Matty, Heather Fromm and husband William, James Alex and wife Jessica, Michele Bloom and companion Francis Haversack, Jerry Bloom and wife April, Charles Bloom and wife Sherri, Michael Luce and wife Michaelle, Matt Luce and wife Jennifer, Noelle Naumann and husband Wolf, and David Lowe; great grandchildren, Megan Watlack, Brandy Watlack, Josh Bloom, Ryan Bloom, Autumn Bloom, Danielle Bloom, Jessica Bloom, Randi Bloom, Kaitlyn Matty, Hailey Fromm, Emma Fromm, Julia Alex, Jennifer Alex, Joe Alex, Jack Luce, Natalie Luce, Max Luce, Samantha Luce, Dolly Naumann, and Gunnar Naumann; five great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marge Bigelow; and a brother-in-law, Harold Luce and wife Dorothy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Luce on January 5, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Welker and Joyce Lowe; a granddaughter, Rebecca Luce; two sisters, Mae Parks and Jean Hutchinson; and two brothers, David Bigelow and Bill Bigelow.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday at 11 AM with Dr. C. Frederick Ralston officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM - 11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15222; or the Trinity Methodist Church, 121 S. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830
