Margaret 'Peg' Mills

Margaret L. 'Peg' Mills, 89, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born on May 28, 1934 in Surveyor, a daughter of the late James W. and June (Michaels) Bain.

Mrs. Mills was employed as the secretary for the maintenance department at the Clearfield Hospital for over 32 years. She also was active in the AFSCME local union 1732 where she served as president for over 10 years. Known for her caring nature, she enjoyed visiting friends and caring for elders in nursing homes, as well as serving as a hospice volunteer for many years. She attended Clearfield Alliance Church. Peg loved her time living at Graystone, where she had many friends,enjoyed playing bingo, and attended the Bible Study held at Graystone.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark Mills and wife Diane of Clearfield, and Mike Mills of Clearfield; a niece, Jackie McCune of Anaheim Hills, CA; two nephews, Greg Neff of Yuma, AZ, and Benny Neff of Burbank, CA; a brother-in-law, Robert 'Bob' Neff of Anaheim Hills, CA; and a great nephew, Jake McCune of Rolling Hills Estates, CA. She also is survived by a good friend, Kathleen Guy, who had been an extreme help to her the last eleven years; as well as Linda Little who had recently started helping Kathleen take care of Peg for the past year.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Mills on May 29, 2017 and whom she wed November 30, 1968 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by brother, Gerald Bain; a sister, Loretta Neff; and two nephews, Michael and Gary Neff.

A graveside service will be held at Eden Cemetery, Frenchville on March 22, 2024 at 2 PM with Dr. Duane White officiating.
