Marjorie A. McCloskey, 63, of Frenchville died on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on November 24, 1943 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Clyde P. and Agnes M. (Folmar) Valimont.

Mrs. McCloskey was a homemaker and a member of the Community Alliance Church, Karthaus.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. McCloskey, whom she wed October 15, 1960 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville; five children, Sue Shugarts and companion Todd Hugar of Frenchville, Ronald H. McCloskey and wife Susan of Surveyor, Jodi McCloskey of Clearfield, James McCloskey of Frenchville, Joyce Brossard and husband Pierre of Frenchville; fourteen grandchildren, Joey, Leanna, Brandi, Michael, Sasha, Alicia, Brandon, Josh, Cheyenne, Brooke, Brianna, Henri, Jacques and Nicolette; a brother and four sisters, Gerald Valimont of Clearfield, Kathryn Norris and husband Reuben of Clearfield, Mildred Maines and husband Jerry of Clearfield, Rosemary Robison of Clearfield and Jane Dusch of York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son Melvin McCloskey on November 4, 1964.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home Clearfield on Monday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Hiram B. Westover officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery Karthaus.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 100 West Station Square, Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
