Marvin G. Fink, 81, of Clearfield died on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.
He was born on November 23, 1933 in Clearfield, a son of the late Ward and Edith Mae (Mellott) Fink.
Marvin taught high school health and physical education at Saddlebrook, NJ and also at Marshall University in WV where he also was the head track coach until his retirement. He had also worked for the James E. Strates Show as an administrator. During this employment, he attended clown school and became an official clown, known as 'Count Roho Blue'.
Marvin was a 1951 graduate of Clearfield High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Morehead State University, MN and his master's degree from the University of Springfield in MA. He attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church. He was very involved with the Clearfield County Fair for over 50 years and a life member and past president of Clearfield Fire Co. #1. He belonged to the masonic lodge, the shrine temple and the Knight's Templar all of Huntington, WV.
A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Fink served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his sister Karen Fox and husband Rhudy of FL; three brothers, Stan Fink and wife Nancy, Ward L. Fink, and Jeff Fink and wife Linda of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rex D. Fink.
A memorial service will be held at the Hyde Wesleyan Church on Friday at 11 AM with Richard Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Military honors will be accorded at church by the members of the Clearfield VFW and American Legion Post's Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the church on Friday from 10-11 AM.
