Mary Barba

Mary H. Barba, 93, of Clearfield died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

Born March 2, 1917, at Clearfield, she was a daughter of Anthony and Frances (Calari) Imbruglia Marino.

Mrs. Barba was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Church, Clearfield and the Martha Washington Lodge No. 1525, Clearfield.

She is survived by three children, Anna Fleming of Murphy, NC, Carmen Barba and Fran Anderson and husband Bradley R. all of Clearfield; five grandchildren, Krissy, Shawn, Kevin, Jeff and Karrie; three step grandchildren, Sandy Renke and husband Britt and Brad Jr. and Logan Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel J. Barba, on Dec. 20, 2001, and whom she wed June 3, 1939 at the St. Francis Church, Clearfield; a son-in-law, Chuck Fleming; two sisters, Lena and Frances Guy; and four brothers Sam, Philip, Nick and Frank Imbruglia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield Thursday, July 29, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Friday, July 30, from 9-9:30 a.m.

At the funeral home on Thursday, July 29, a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 1:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be said at 5:45 p.m.
