Mary Joyce Brion, 84, of Clearfield passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Nelson's Golden Years of DuBois.
She was born September 20, 1940 in Austin, IN, daughter of the late Luther David Purvis and Anita Fellows Purvis.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by brothers, Edgar Leroy Purvis and David Earl Purvis, and a sister, Norma Jean Piros.
She is survived by three sons, William Scott Brion and wife Joyce of Curwensville, Stephen Brion and wife Melissa of Clearfield, and Robert Brion and wife Wendy of Erhard; six grandchildren, Janel McGarry, and husband Wes of Curwensville, Lane Sharon and husband Bryce of Curwensville, Daniel Brion, Nathan Brion, Tiffany Delgado, and Molly Mallin; eight great-grandchildren, Zane McGarry, Parker Sharon, Zachery Robinson, Grant and Kelton Brion, and Alexis, Katelynn, and Madison Mallin; and a sister, Ruth Ann Purvis.
Mary worked at Riverside in Clearfield and Bilo and DuBois.
We would like to thank the staff and especially Jackie and Dawn at Nelson's Golden Years in DuBois for making her last months enjoyable.
Honoring Mary's request, there will be no visitation or service.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, 119 N. 2nd St, Clearfield, PA 16830.
