Mary K. "Kathy" Evans, 48
of 121 High Street, Clearfield died on Thursday, August 1, 2002 at her residence.
She was born on August 29, 1953 in Shawnee, OK, a daughter of W.T. and Helen (Kaeppel) Robertson.
Mrs. Evans was a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for nearly 15 years.
Mrs. Evans was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and served on the church vestry for many years. She was a member of the John Lewis Shade Post #6 Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Clearfield Women of the Moose Chapter #948, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #812 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Branch #3370 Ladies Auxiliary in New Mexico. She assisted with the tax preparation program for the elderly for several years.
She was an avid gardener. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Chris E. Evans, whom she married May 26, 1999 in Clearfield

A Memorial service will be held at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Clearfield on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Thomas Russell officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 102 E. Cherry St., Clearfield, PA 16830, American Cancer Society, 119 E.
