Mary Guthridge

Mary J. Guthridge, 84, of Clearfield died on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on May 4, 1926 in Martin Secora, Italy, a daughter of the late Giacomo and Domenica (Lucketti) DiFelice.

Mrs. Guthridge was employed at McGregor Sportswear, Clearfield for over 30 years.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge #189, Clearfield.

She is survived by three sons, John Guthridge of Clearfield, Joseph 'Joe' Guthridge and wife Deborah of Philipsburg and William 'Bill' Guthridge and wife Karen of Clearfield; five grandchildren, Elena Martin and husband Tom of Houston, TX, Dana Guthridge Nolan of Midlothian, VA, Donald Guthridge and wife Crystal of Columbus, NM, Steven Guthridge of Houston, TX and Alicia Guthridge of Clearfield; a step great grandson;
a brother and two sisters, Joseph DiFelice and wife Joyce of Clearfield, Joan Spinelli and husband Congie of Buffalo, NY and Helen DiFelice of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Guthridge on December 4, 1991, and two daughter-in-laws Debra Lewis and Mary Ann Shields.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with Father John Chaplin as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 9-9:30 AM.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Living Bread Ministries, 628 Daisy Street, Clearfield.
