Mary E. Krupelak, 78
of Clearfield passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her home.
She was born on October 16, 1935 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late James A. Hoover, Sr. and Twila (Mars) Hoover.
Mary retired from Kurtz Bros. in 1998 after 42 years of employment. She enjoyed tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her son, George Krupelak III of Clearfield; three granddaughters, Dakota Rae, Brooke Marie and Tayler Nichole; a sister, Dorothy Tibbens of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George ''Junnie'' Krupelak, Jr. on June 13, 2000 and whom she wed September 16, 1961. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Hoover and Twila Shubert and four brothers, Ralph A. Hoover, Ray Hoover Sr., Paul Hoover and James A. Hoover Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8pm and on Wednesday from 10 - 11am.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Suite D, Altoona, PA 16601 or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
