Mary Leona "Sally" Shaffer, 85
of RD #3, Clearfield died on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on June 13, 1917 in Curwensville, PA, a daughter of the late Carl and Mary (McCracken) Knepp.
Mrs. Shaffer was employed for the former DuPont Electronics in Hyde.
She is survived by a son and a daughter,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lavaue 'Red' Shaffer on June 23, 1982, and four brothers, Lee Knepp, William Knepp, Harry Knepp, and Donnie Knepp.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gust J. Maderia, Jr officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library , 1 S. Front Street, Clearfield PA 16830.
