Mary Sue Diehl, 78, of Clearfield died on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on August 3, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Fred C. and Mary Diehl.
Mary Sue had been employed as a Professor of Nursing at Lock Haven School of Nursing. She also had worked at Mt. Laurel Nursing Home, Clearfield Hospital and Clearfield Home Health. She was a member of the Clearfield Red Cross, the AIDS Task Force, the Boy Scouts of America Troop 1, Ah Tic Lodge, the Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary and the N.O.N. group.
Mary Sue was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church
She is survived by her son, Joshua Diehl and wife Lindsey of Port Angeles, WA; four grandchildren, Layla Billotte, Josey Cooley, Olivia Diehl, and Virginia Diehl; two sisters, Betsey Long and Nan Sennett; two nephews, Michael Sennett, and Thad Diehl and family; four nieces, Mary Beth Long, Christina Powell and family, Kathy Brown and family, and Katie Diehl; ; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Diehl.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Diehl.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mid Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross or to Camp Mountain Run.
