Mary Waterworth-Whiting

Mary M. Waterworth-Whiting , 88,of Clearfield died on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Colonial Courtyard, Clearfield.
She was born on June 15, 1924 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Carmella (Fama) Maiorana.
Mrs. Waterworth-Whiting worked as a nurse alongside her husband, Dr. Andrew J. Waterworth in his practice in Clearfield. She loved books and enjoyed reading, gardening and golf.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, the Nurses Alumni Association of Clearfield Hospital and the former Martha Washington Lodge, Clearfield.
She is survived by five children Samuel J. Waterworth and wife Kimberly of Silver Springs, MD, Catherine W. Honan and husband William of New York, NY, Andrew J. Waterworth Jr. and wife Adrienne of Boca Raton, FL, Mary Jane W. French and husband Richard of Curwensville and Robert M. Waterworth and wife Kimberly of Clarksville, MD; 8 grandchildren Katie, Sarah, Perry, Andrew, Natalie and Jake Waterworth, Travis French and Beth Wisor and husband Curt; a great grandson Liam Wisor; three sisters, Caren Graves of FL, Jane Lodico of VA and Kathryn Maiorana of Dubois; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Andrew J. Waterworth on June 29, 1987 and her second husband Edgar B. Whiting on January 3, 2009; two sisters, Teresa Amon and Rose Maiorana; and three brothers John, Anthony and Joseph Maiorana.
In accordance of Mrs. Waterworth-Whiting's wishes, all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Hospital, 809 Turnpike Avenue, Clearfield..
