Michael Robert Babick, 45, of Frenchville died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his residence.
He was born on November 4, 1960 in Newark, NJ, a son of Michael Louis Babick of Clearfield and Dorothy (Hetrick) Kelly of Frenchville.
Mr. Babick was a 1978 graduate of St. Francis High School, Clearfield. He was formerly employed as a state corrections officer in Arizona and Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step mother, Pamela Susan Babick of Clearfield; his step-father, Buck Kelly of Frenchville; two children, Sarah Anna Babick at home and Michael Lenard Babick of Douglas, Arizona; paternal grandmother, Pearl Babick of Sussex, NJ; two sisters, Joyce Graham and husband Scott and Dottie Spera and husband Garry, all of Clearfield; two step brothers and a step sister, Joseph Kelly of Tunkhannock, Kevin Kelly of Mount Pocono and Paula Gabbard and husband Delmer of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Marie (Krafchick) Babick, on November 16, 1999 and whom he married October 19, 1991 in Carbondale, maternal grandparents Francis 'Jake' and Anna Hetrick, paternal grandfather Michael Charles Babick and a brother Adam Babick.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:30 -10:00 AM.
