Michael A. 'Hubba' Capatch , 47, of Kylertown died on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Altoona Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 12, 1965 in Clearfield, a son of Carol (Hemphill) Capatch Nottingham of Philipsburg and the late George Capatch.
Michael was a 1995 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has owned and operated Capatch Chiropractic Center in Kylertown since 1996. He is a brother of the Pi Kappa Chi fraternity. He is also the founding father of the annual Susquehanna Safari.
Outside of his vocation, Michael loved playing rugby with the Wolfpack Rugby Team, canoeing with his buddies, and biking, running and hiking. He also enjoyed watching football and hockey.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children, Marlena and Chase Capatch of Osceola Mills; his best friend, Carla Rosselli of Philipsburg; his former spouse, Kelly Ruden of Osceola Mills; a sister, Denise Capatch of Clearfield; a brother, Gregory G. Capatch of Sedona, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Alan Capatch.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11:00 am with Dr. Duane A. White officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm and on Thursday from 10 - 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678.
