Michael Scott Owens, 65, of Clearfield passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on June 13, 1959 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Robert Owens and Amelia (Voinchet) Ogden.
He worked as a delivery driver for Bergey's Truck Parts and Industrial Sales of Clearfield.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol who he wed May 6, 1989. Their 35-year marriage is a testament to his enduring love and devotion. Through life’s joys and challenges their marriage remained a pillar of strength.
Mike leaves behind two children and their spouses Jared and Katlyn Owens, and Melinda and Sammy Holland. Mike’s love for his children was endless and unwavering. He took immense pride in all their accomplishments and the people they became.
Mike’s greatest joy in life was being “Pappy.” He always found his greatest happiness in the laughter and smiles of his four grandchildren: Harper Mae, Mac Ryan, Krew David, and Reid Caroline. Whether he was playing in the pool, pushing them on the swing, or enjoying ice cream together, Mike’s love and pride for them was evident. Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren and the countless moments of love they shared.
He is also survived by a brother, Dean Owens; and two sisters, Anita Poust and husband Rick, and Lisa Picard and companion Dean Auen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Shawn Owens, and Brian Owens.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11 AM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4-7 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
