Mildred J. Spingola, 60, of Clearfield died on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Montefiore.
She was born on May 18, 1945 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late William and Ethel (Turner) McLaughlin.
Mrs. Spingola was a homemaker and had previously been employed for six years at the former Leonard Grade School.
She was active with the Christ United Methodist Church, Clearfield and had been a member of the Little League Auxiliary for the past eighteen years.
She is survived by six sons, David A. Spingola, Dallas, TX, Dennis M. Spingola and wife Michelle of Pittsburgh, Darin M. Spingola and wife Alecia of Clearfield, Dean B. Spingola of Dallas, TX, Douglas F. Spingola and wife Tracy of Clearfield, Ernie Aughenbaugh and wife Kristy of Clearfield, 6 grandchildren,
four sisters and two brothers, Mary Haney of Clearfield, Anna Dixon of Clearfield, Doreen Dixon of Clearfield, Shirley Maines of Wallaceton, Fred McLaughlin of Clearfield of Richard McLaughlin of Olanta and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis A. Spingola on February 24, 1992 and whom she married October 21, 1962.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Rodger J. Gorton officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8:00 PM and on Monday from 9-10:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
