Nanette Sturniolo

Nanette L. Sturniolo, 83 of Clearfield, Pennsylvania passed away on September 8, 2022 at her home in Clearfield.
She was born on July 4, 1939, the daughter of James and Angeline B. Lischerelli.
She was a 1957 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and a majorette in the high school band. Upon graduation, she was employed by W. T. Grant, the County National Bank, and the Clearfield County Prothonotary Office where she retired after 27 years of service.
On September 19, 1959, she wed Vincent M. Sturniolo at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield.
Nanette was a former member of the Sons and Daughters Lodge of Clearfield, the Red Hatters Club, the NON, and the Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer at the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Monique A. Sopic of Clearfield and Michele R. (Christian) Herr of Camp Hill, PA, and two sons, Vincent M. (Maria) Sturniolo of Ashburn, VA and James J. Sturniolo of Clearfield.; eight grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Johanson of Wexford, Andrew (Priya) Kirsch of Asheville, NC, Ryan Herr and Alexandra Herr of Camp Hill, Vincent Sturniolo and Cristina Sturniolo of Ashburn, VA , and Bridgett Daly and Catherine Daly of Sperryville, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Parker, Reed, and Ella.
Nanette, born on the 4th of July, was the spark of the family who enjoyed hosting parties for her Italian girlfriends who grew up in the east end Italian section of Clearfield and many family holidays and other special events. Nanette’s family was her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, crafting, decorating, and party planning. She also enjoyed annual trips to Ocean City, MD with the entire family for over fifty years and to Weston, FL where she met and made friends from across the country.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10 AM with Fr. Robert Horgas officiating.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4-7 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
