Naomi E. Lyda, 83

of 605 E. Fifth Street Rear, Clearfield died on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at her residence.

She was born on December 17, 1919 in Clearfield, PA, a daughter of the late Allen E. and Georgianna (Patton) Payton.

Mrs. Lyda retired from the former Clear Haven Nursing Home and was a member of St John Baptist Church, Clearfield.

She is survived by eleven children,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William James Lyda on August 23, 1970 and whom she married on November 30, 1935 in Clearfield, a daughter Lucy Mae, brothers Jack, Richard, James and Nathaniel Payton and sisters Ella Mae Johnson and Margaret Duffan.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Richard B. Cartwright and Mr. Robert F. Henry coofficiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Monday from
10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice , PO Box 992, Clearfield or American Cancer Society , 119 East Market Street, Clearfield.
