Nehemiah Robison

Nehemiah William Robison Jr., 97, of Clearfield died on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on June 7, 1923 in Olanta, a son of the late Nehemiah W. and Mae (Bloom) Robison.

Mr. Robison was a heavy machine operator and mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially when his children and grandchildren played.

He was a member of Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, and the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post No. 1785.

Mr. Robison served with the U. S. Army during World War II, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, as well as the European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal.

He is survived by three children, Charles 'Chuck' W. Robison and wife Cheryl of Clearfield, Karen L. Morrison and husband Philip of Clearfield, and Brian Robison and wife Brenda of Dillsburg; six grandchildren, Lori Morrison, Sherri White, Renee Robison, Clint Robison, Curtis Robison, and Caitlyn Robison; a step granddaughter, Holly Chrostowski; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Carter, Alaina White, and Connor Robison; three step great-grandchildren, Emma Chrostowski, Kaden Mills, and Maddie Mills; and a great great-grandchild, Miles Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores M. (Robbins) Robison. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Robison; four sisters, Gertrude, Annie, Elda, and Sylvia; and a brother, Leonard.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, 210 S. Second St.
