Nichole Lynn 'Nicky' Leigey, 48, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on January 17, 1975 in Clearfield, a daughter of Jeffrey Leigey and Diane Evans.
Nicky was a graduate of Clearfield High School. She later received her Associates Degree in Earth Science at Penn State DuBois and also studied Wildlife Management at Penn State University. She worked as a District Manager for Burger King and most recently worked for the DEP as a Surface Mine Conservation Inspector Supervisor.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery. She was a member of NWTF, Pheasant Forever, and Military Veterans Outdoors.
Nicky was a 92y with the U. S. Army Reserve from 1993-1997.
She is survived by her mother, Diane Evans of Weedville; daughter, Chesney Boal and her children, Abby Weber and Daxton Weber of Clearfield; a sister, Michelle Alford of St. Marys; and a niece, Julie Alford of Ridgway.
In addition to her father, Jeffrey Leigey, she was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Frances and Rebecca Leigey; and maternal grandparents, Curt Evans and Melva McKenrick.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 6 PM with Rev. Jim Hurd officiating. Following the service, a gathering will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 812, 310 E. Market St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-6 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 N. Third St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
