Nick J. Biviano, 82

of State College died on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

He was born on October 22, 1923 in Clearfield, a son of the late Tony and Mary (Miragliotta) Biviano.

Mr. Biviano retired from Edmunds Contracting and Supply Co - Down River Sales, Frenchville on August 1, 1990 after 38 years of employment.
He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, State College and a former member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
He was also a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 and the Clearfield Sons of Italy Lodge #189.
He served on the Clearfield Borough Council, the Clearfield Water Authority and the Clearfield Park Authority.
A 1941 graduate of Clearfield High School, he then served with the US Army during WWII at which time he studied accounting in the Army Service School.
In addition he was an avid Penn State fan.

He is survived by his wife, Janet L. (Walker) Biviano, whom he married January 6, 1990 in State College, two children, Mary Jo Fink and husband Rex of Clearfield and Anthony C. Biviano and wife Garnett of State College; three grandchildren, Toni Geist of MD, Melissa Emigh of State College and Michael Biviano of State College, four great grandchildren, four step-children, Lisa Davis of New Zealand, Mitchell E. Breon of HI, Julie Hoke of NC, Marla K. Benner of York and six step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Jean (Twoey) Biviano on September 17, 1986 and whom he married in 1945 and a sister Carmella M. Biviano.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Catholic Church, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, P.O. Box 8186, State College, PA 16803.
