Nora D. McCoy, 80

of 318 Park Avenue, Clearfield died on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on September 22, 1921 in Clearfield, PA, a daughter of the late James and Mary Lena (O'Laughlin) Hand.

A licensed practical nurse, Mrs. McCoy was formerly employed as a private duty nurse and also by Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Clearfield and the Ruth Circle of the church. She was also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Second Ward Fire Company and the former Pocahontas Club.

She is survived by four children,
Carl D. 'Mike' McCoy, Jr. and wife Helen Glen Richey
Patricia Livelsberger McSherrystown
Charlene Kephart and husband Daniel Penfield
Sue McCoy Clearfield

9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren

two brothers and a sister,

Joyce Perry York

numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. McCoy, Sr. on
September 19, 1980, a grandson, a son-in-law, William Livelsberger, three brothers Fred Shonewalter, Harold Hand, Raymond Hand and a sister Eva Peoples.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at
11:00 A.M. with Mr. Richard B. Barkley officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from
2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Presbyterian Church, 119 North Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
