Norman L. "Bud" Dunlap, 80, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on April 4, 1930 in Clearfield, a son of the late L. Y. and Elma (Rea) Dunlap.
Mr. Dunlap was a truck driver for various companies in the Clearfield area, most recently being the Benjamin Coal Co. He was a lifetime member of the Curwensville Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #268, Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812, Clearfield Sons of Italy Lodge #189 and the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post #1785.
He is survived by two children, David Dunlap and wife Brenda of Olanta, Linda Funkhouser and husband John of AR; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Hutton and husband Allen of Glen Richey, Pamela Sheeder and husband Brian of VA, Denise Mullins and husband Mike of Clearfield, Julie Goss of Olanta, Jilynn Salter of Morrisdale, Dayna Aughenbaugh and husband Marty of Pittsburgh and Marcus and Darnel McCoy of Clearfield; and 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dunlap was the last surviving member of his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his significant other, Ruth E. Heitsenrether on October 12, 1995, a daughter Tammy Salter, two sisters and a brother Golda Bell, Maxine Gardlock and Austin Dunlap.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM
