Pansy Duke

Pansy Irene Duke, 89

of Clearfield died on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on November 20, 1914 in Bradford Township, Mineral Springs, a daughter of the late E. Roy and Maggie Elva (Bloom) Peters.

Mrs. Duke was employed by the former Airplane Marine during WW II and for twenty years by the Miller Dairy. In her later years she cared for the elderly in their homes.
She was a member of the Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland, where she taught the Bonneamie Sunday School class for over 30 years. She also belonged to the Bradford Grange No. 1219, the Ladies Auxiliary of the BJW Fire Company and was a member of the Woodland Senior Citizens Group.

She is survived by two daughters,
Margaret Schenk and husband John Woodland
Nettie Woodson and husband Robert La Follette, TN

eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren

and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Duke on March 31, 1955 a son Raymond Edward Duke and two sisters and nine brothers.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Charles J. Swenson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lake Street United Methodist Church, % Rev. Charles Swenson, 129 Lake Street, Woodland or to the Bradford Jackson Woodland Fire Co., Woodland.
