Paul L. Fitzgibbon, 70, of Frenchville died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home.

He was born on May 1, 1942 in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late John F. and Margaret Mary (Vallimont) Fitzgibbon.

Mr. Fitzgibbon worked for the New Jersey State Highway Department and also owned and operated a delicatessen in Trenton, NJ. Being a veteran of the United States Army, he was stationed in Germany for many years. Mr. Fitzgibbon loved watching all sports and also enjoyed kayaking.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville. Mr. Fitzgibbon was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Leigey Renaud Post 8386, Frenchville and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812, Clearfield.

He is survived by a daughter Molly Fitzgibbon of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Mary Jo Junghans of WA, Gertrude Russo of FL, Joann Haney, Sister Peggy Fitzgibbon and Theresa Fitzgibbon all of Trenton, NJ; two brothers, Jim Fitzgibbon and wife Margie of Camp Hill and Patrick Fitzgibbon of Frenchville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Cecelia Pacera and Grace Fitzgibbon; and two brothers Michael and John Fitzgibbon.

A Memorial Mass will be said at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. David A. Perry Jr. as celebrant.

Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Doctors without Borders, P.O. Box 5030, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5030..
