Pauline E. Amon, 88
formerly of Frenchville and most recently a resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield died on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the center.
She was born on February 5, 1918 in Congress Hill, a daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Jury) Smith.
Mrs. Amon was a homemaker and was previously employed at the former Clear Haven Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Congress Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Amon of Camp Hill, a daughter in law, Beverly Amon of Frenchville, five grandchildren, Kimberly Shaffer, Bradley Amon, Cheryl Wansack, Jason Amon and Heather Ford, 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Maxwell Smith of Bald Hill and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Voyle D. Amon on July 31, 1977, a son William Amon and a sister and a brother.
Memorial Services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Interment will be at Eden Cemetery, Shawville, RD.
At the request of Mrs. Amon, there will be no public visitation.
