Percy D. Scoggins Jr., 66

of 522 Wrigley Street, Clearfield died on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at his residence.

He was born on September 4, 1937 in Beverly Hills, CA, a son of the late Percy D. and Sammie (Coulter) Scoggins, Sr.

Mr. Scoggins retired from Film Corporations of America, Philadelphia in 1977 after 12 years of service. He was employed by Goodwill Industries and a self employed piano tuner in the Clearfield area. In addition, he was an in-house musician/saxophonist at Dingers Grandslam Grille and Groggery, Over the Mountain Restaurant and at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Philipsburg.
He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Clearfield.

He is survived by his wife, Willa (Leggs) Scoggins, whom he married on December 22, 1961 in Clearfield by the Rev. Felix Hurd.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. W. Dean Krause officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from
10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Leonard C. Staisey Building, 4724 Baum Boulevard,
Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or the American Foundation for the Blind, 11 Penn Plaza, Suite 300, New York, NY 10001.
