Phyllis L. Leigey, 86,of Weedville, formerly of Clearfield, died on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her home.
She was born on February 14, 1932 in Bradford Township, a daughter of the late Matthew and Edna Blanche Wallace Maines.
Mrs. Leigey had been employed at Natoli's Restaurant in Clearfield for 39 years. She also found great enjoyment in watching birds.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kunes and husband David of Weedville; two grandchildren, David Kunes and wife Viki, and Lynn Smith and husband Ronald; three great grandchildren, Matthew D., Richard P. and Lillie C.; two sisters, Evon Coudriet of Morrisdale and Bernice Welker and husband Jim of Woodland; and a brother, Matthew Dale Maines of Woodland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton 'Frenchie' M. Leigey on October 20, 1992. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Bonnie Hummel, Beatrice Maines Alberta Liegey, and Ila Evans.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 AM with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 420 East North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
