Phyllis U. Rowles, 82, of Woodland died on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Altoona Regional Hospital.
She was born on January 22, 1928 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Clay and Anna (Peters) Undercofler.
Mrs. Rowles was formerly employed as a postal clerk in Woodland.
She was a homemaker.
She attended the Wesleyan Faith Holiness Church, Woodland.
She is survived by her husband, Clair L. Rowles, whom she wed July 23, 1953 in Cumberland, MD; two children, Margaret Ogden and companion Tim McCracken of Curwensville and Larry Rowles and wife Kim of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Ryan Rowles of Manassas, VA, Matthew Rowles of Charlotte, NC and Azriell Ogden and companion Andy McGovern of Woodland; a great grandson; a sister and two brothers, Rose Smith of Clearfield, Michael Undercofler and wife Natalie of Hudson, NH and Carl Undercofler and wife Joyce of Woodland and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Alison and Gabriel Ogden and three brothers, Jim, Don and Bob Undercofler.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield at the convenience of the family with Rev. Russell L. Mencer officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Wesleyan Faith Holiness Church, 1698 Dale Road, Woodland.
