Ralph L. Clark, 79
of Clearfield died on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on August 5, 1931 in Olanta, a son of the late Robert and Margaret (Simbeck) Clark, Sr.
Mr. Clark was employed as a heavy equipment operator for several local coal companies and retired from Central PA Coal Co.
He was a member of the O'Shanter United Methodist Church, the Glen Richey Fire Hall and the Glen Richey Sportsmans Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Royer) Clark, whom he wed February 23, 1963 in Olanta,
five children, Kim Kelly and fiance Doug Robbins of Clearfield, Ralph Clark, Jr. and wife Kathy of NJ, Rebecca Johnson and husband Fred of Clearfield, Sandra Smith and companion Dan Askey of LeContes Mills, James Smith and wife Marlene of TX,
11 grandchildren, Tristen Kelly, Codey Kelly, Dallas Clark, Derek Johnson, Laura Bowman, Amy Jo King, Tyler Smith, Hile Smith, Jr., Melissa Leigey, James Smith, Jr., David Smith,
8 great-grandchildren,
10 brothers and sisters, Richard Clark and wife Carol of Olanta, Rosemary Lake of Clearfield, Barbara Swatsworth and husband Ted of Clearfield, Darlene Mulhollem and husband Dennis of Bigler, Jack Clark of Boyertown, Norma Freeman and husband Donald of NC, Franklin Clark of Olanta, Edward Clark of Olanta, Sylvia White of Olanta and Joyce Bowden and husband Donald of Curwensville,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Smith and Richard Smith, three grandchildren, Ralph Clark, III, Dakota Clark, Carolyn Clark, a sister Iva King and two brothers, Robert Clark, Jr. and Dean Clark.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Christine Freeman-Frank officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8:00 PM and on Friday from
9-10:00 AM
