Ralph John "R.J." Stiner, Jr., 71 of Clearfield died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on February 22, 1939 in Clearfield, a son of the late Ralph John Stiner Sr. and Viola (Dixon) Stiner Lansberry.
Mr. Stiner retired from the River Hill Coal Co., Karthaus where he drilled in the strip mines.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline Ruth 'Addie' (Philips) Stiner, whom he wed June 16, 1969; five children, Richard Stiner and wife Debra of Clearfield, Kathryn Maines of Clearfield, Bonnie Smeal of Clearfield, Barbie Stiner and companion Leo McBride of Hyde and Brian Stiner and wife Pearl of Frenchville; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Wesley Lansberry, an infant son Johnny Stiner and a brother Clifford Stiner.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11 AM with Evangelist Raymond Stiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM and on Friday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
