Ramus E. Derbeque, 71, of Olanta died on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on January 7, 1950 in Clearfield, a son of the late Raymond and Theona (Welch) Derbeque.
Ramus was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator, most recently for Russell Paving of Curwensville. He was also a mechanic and race car driver. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and International Harvester Tractor products. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who would make his face light up every time they walked in the house.
He was a former member of the Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A. (Palski) Derbeque whom he wed June 13, 1970; two daughters, Jolene Cutler and husband Michael of Houtzdale, and daughter, Dusty Bennett and husband Jerry of Clearfield; a son, Justen Derbeque and wife Heather of Olanta; seven grandchildren, Caleb Cutler and wife Erika, Devan Cutler and wife Leann, Raymond 'Woody' Hasty, Shelby Lynn Swoope and boyfriend Anthony Hunt, Katie Derbeque, Logan Derbeque, and Corbin Derbeque; five great-grandchildren, Evelyn Cutler, Abigail Cutler, Ashton Cutler, Summer Hunt, and Autumn Hunt; two sisters, Dorothy L. Quickel, and Carol Beard and husband Gary; a brother, Alfred 'Alfie' Derbeque and wife Patty; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Latterman.
A memorial service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 6 PM with Pastor Louis Stubbs III officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 PM.
