Raymond Livergood

March 25, 1925 — January 8, 2004

Raymond F. "Stoney" Livergood, 91

of Curwensville died on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Marion Manor I of Curwensville.

He was born on March 25, 1912 in Eden, a son of the late Charles and Ada (Condon) Livergood.

Mr. Livergood retired in 1977 from the former Pennsylvania Department of Forestry. He had also been employed with Born Coal Co. and Lingle Coal Co. for several years.
Mr. Livergood served in the CCC, was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportman's Club and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by three daughters:
Connie Sadowski and husband Joe Penfield
Hester Meckley and husband Jim Ottsville
Karen Addleman and husband Jim Grampian

four grandchildren:
Yvonne Beaver and husband Scott Johnsonburg
Joseph Sadowski, Jr. and wife Lorie DuBois, R.D.
Eric Addleman and wife Kristin MD
Ryan Addleman Grampian

three great-grandchildren:
Trevor and Alexa Beaver and Kaylee Jo Sadowski

a brother and a sister:
John Livergood Eden
Wilda Cole Williamsport

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther (Leigey) Livergood on February 18, 1985 and whom he married on October 28, 1938 in Maryland and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Saturday at
1:00 P.M. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, on Friday from
6-9:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church of Curwensville, Susquehanna Avenue Extension, Curwensville, PA 16833.
