Raymond A. Rougeux Sr., 79, of Clearfield died on Friday, April 28, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born on June 5, 1943 in Surveyor, a son of the late John 'Jack' Rougeux and Ruth (Nelson) Rougeux Sanker and William Sanker.
Mr. Rougeux retired as a custodian for the Clearfield Area School District. Prior to that, he worked as a cutter and quality leader for 21 years at the former Bayer Clothing Group and was a cutter for the former McGregor Sportwear. He was a member and affiliated with the First Baptist Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth C. (Bailey) Rougeux whom he wed October 1, 1960 in Clearfield; two children, Connie Hepfer and husband Edward of Olanta, and Raymond A. Rougeux Jr. and wife Blake of Smithfield, VA; four grandchildren, Kurt Hepfer and wife Shannon, Kody Hepfer, Brock Rougeux and wife Chelsea, and Baylee Rougeux and fiance Chris; two great grandchildren, Hayes Hepfer and Mase Freeman Hepfer; two sisters Gloria Jean Sosville of GA, and Phyllis Emigh and husband Norman 'Butch' of Morrisdale; and a brother, Ken Rougeux of Hawk Run.
In addition to his parents and step-father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rougeux; and three brothers, David, Richard, and Harold Rougeux.
All services will be private. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.
In lieu fo flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 111 North Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
