Rex D. Fink, 68
of Clearfield died on Monday, December 2, 2013 at McGeorge Road, Clearfeld.
He was born on July 3, 1945 in Clearfield, a son of the late Ward and Edith Mae (Mellott) Fink.
Rex was formerly employed at Clearfield Machine Co. and Penn Lumber Products.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. He was a life member of the First Ward Fire Department, Clearfield. He is a member and vice-president of the Clearfield County Fair Board and volunteered with the fair for over 50 years, during which time he served as the fair parade chairman. Rex served with the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.
He also enjoyed hunting, putting together table puzzles and solving puzzle books.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Biviano) Fink whom he wed June 24, 1967 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; a sister and four brothers, Karen Fox and husband Rudy of FL, Marvin Fink, Stan Fink and wife Nancy, Ward L. Fink and Jeff Fink and wife Linda all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield at the convenience of the family with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield or to the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department, 108 E. Cherry Street, Clearfield.
