Richard (Rich) Raymond Alvetro, 81, passed away peacefully on January 22nd.

Rich was born on November 4, 1942, in Dubois, PA, to the late Nick Alvetro. He was lovingly raised by Guy and Nikolina (Grasso) Alvetro. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda McFarland.

Rich was the devoted husband of Leona Alvetro and a cherished father to Theresa Alvetro, Lisa (Robert) Gray, and Nick Alvetro. He was a proud grandfather to Nathan (Heather) Alvetro, Bradyn Gray, and Natalie Alvetro, and a doting great-grandfather to Bricen, Bentley, and Braxton Alvetro.

Rich had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and observing deer in their natural habitat. He worked at Central Volkswagen and spent many years in open mining, most recently with RES Coal, where he skillfully operated a dozer.

In accordance with Rich’s wishes, there will be no service.

Rich will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, and the quiet joy he found in nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
