Richard L. Bloom, 78
of Glen Richey died on Friday, May 9, 2008 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.
He was born on January 23, 1930 in Glen Richey, a son of the late Edward I. and Grace (McDivett) Bloom.
Mr. Bloom retired from Howes Leather Co., Inc., Curwensville, after over 30 years of employment.
He was Methodist by faith and served in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Wink) Bloom,
four children, Ken Wink and wife Yvonne of Curwensville, Tina Bainey and husband Harry of O'Shanter, Kimberly Passmore and husband Robert of Gazzam, Mark Bloom and companion Sharon Beckman of Curwensville, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren,
two brothers, Victor Bloom and wife Kathy of Turkey Hill, Joseph Bloom of Glen Richey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Logan Andrew Bloom, a sister Mildred Ogden and brothers, Austin, Charles and Clarence Bloom.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Building D, Suite 101, Altoona PA 16601
