Richard M. Duckett, 93, of Clearfield died on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on November 3, 1923 in Boardman, a son of the late Albert and Christina (Ogden) Duckett.
Mr. Duckett was employed by Kurtz Brothers as a printer before retiring in 1986 after forty years.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, the International Typographical Union and also a charter and past member of the Keystone Travel Trailer Club. He served with the US Army during WW II and was a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6.
He is survived by four daughters, Phyllis Rode and husband Dave of Kissimmee, FL, Bonnie Morgan of Clearfield, Peggy Hebrank of Clearfield and Jan Harry and husband Rev. Harold of West Decatur; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a special friend, Rose Smith of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian (Lawhead) Duckett on July 30, 2007 and whom he wed July 4, 1945. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther Duckett; and two brothers, Thomas and Chester Duckett.
Funeral Services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Harold Harry, son-in-law, officiating. Interment will be in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 10-11 AM.
