Richard A. "Dick" Evans, 66 of Clearfield died on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on March 27, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a son of Mildred (Fjell) Evans of Clearfield and the late Orison Evans.
Mr. Evans owned and operated his personal trucking business for 5 years. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Sears in Clearfield and 17 years in the explosive's industry around the Clearfield area. He had also been employed by Automart, Clearfield.
He was protestant by faith. Mr. Evans was a former member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife, Janie (Lockett) Evans, whom he wed May 10, 1969 in Clearfield; a son Scott A. Evans and wife Shelly of Clearfield; eight grandchildren, Brandon and Shayne Evans, Brittnay Burke and husband Issac, Katilyn, Jilynn, Elizabeth, Kellie and David Evans; a sister Linda Thompson and husband Jeff of Clearfield; and two nieces and two nephews.
At the request of Mr. Evans, there will be no public visitation or services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of ones choice.
