Richard J. Lodico, 78, of Clearfield, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at his residence.
Born October 14, 1927 at Akron, OH, he was a son of the late Jacob J. and Rose (Marcuzzo) Lodico.
Mr. Lodico owned the former Lodico Motors, Clearfield for 16 years and the former Richs Used Cars, Clearfield. In addition he was employed by Automart, Clearfield.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, the Sons of Italy Lodge, Clearfield, the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 and the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post No. 1785.
In addition, he was an avid wild life and car enthusiast.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during WWII.
He is survived by two daughters, Terri A. Davis of Reston, VA and Bethany Jones of Vienna, VA; 4 granddaughters, Melanie Paul-Cook, Heather Nearhoof, Natalie Jones and Amanda Jones; 2 great-grandchildren, Riley Paul-Cook and Maxwell Paul-Cook; a sister, Lillian Tate of Clymer; and an uncle, Nicholas Lodico.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Boyce.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post No. 6 and Clearfield VFW Post No. 1785.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:45 PM.
