Richard A. 'Dick' Rowles, 75, of Clearfield died on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born on October 24, 1947 in Clearfield, a son of the late Emery and Patricia (Raymond) Rowles.
Dick was employed by Erie Bearings Co. as a sales field representative for over two decades and Lowe's in commercial sales.
He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and involved with the St. Francis School Board and chaired many committees. Dick also coached little league and teener league baseball. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #409, a member of the Clearfield VFW, the Clearfield American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Dick proudly served with the U. S. Navy during Vietnam. He also enjoyed all forms of wildlife, was an avid Penn State, Pittsburgh Pirate and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Davis) Rowles whom he wed June 24, 1967; a son, Rich Rowles and wife Margarita of Kissimmee, FL; three grandchildren, Jami, Isabella, and Matthew Rowles all of Kissimmee; two brothers, Chris Rowles and wife Mary Jo of Clearfield, and Greg Rowles and wife Helen on Mesa, AZ.
In addition to his parents Emery and Patricia Rowles, he was preceded in death by his son Michael 'Mikey' Rowles.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family and burial was at the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
