Richard A. 'Evil' Seger, 61, of Mahaffey, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Rick was born on December 21, 1959 in DuBois, the son of Larry and Beverly Jean (Bergstrom) Seger of Grampian.
He attended Curwensville Area High School. He worked many years at Hepburnia Coal Company as a heavy equipment operator and later worked at Hand Drilling as a machinist/oiler. He was a member of Hepburnia Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, nature, music and playing his harmonica. He had an interest in small engines and had his own lawn mower repair business. He was quiet and a very kind person who was ready and willing to help anyone.
Rick is survived by his dad, Larry and stepmother Enola (McClincey) Seger of Hepburnia; a sister, Mrs. Steven E. (Brenda) Koval of Clearfield; a niece, Mrs. Joseph (Tiffanie 'Erin') Cortazzo and their children, Avery and Baylee; a nephew, Stephen 'Eric' Koval and his daughter, Adelyn, along with many cousins. For the last eight years, he lived with Donna Barto and her fiancé, the late Richard Lingenfelter. He will be sadly missed by family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly; a brother, Kevin L. Seger; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Harriet (Vardy) Bergstrom and maternal step grandfather, Herbert B. Roadarmel; his paternal grandfather, Alfred Miles Seger and paternal grandmother, Ruth Ellen Spencer.
There will be no public service held at this time. Services may be announced at a later date.
