Ricky Alan Viard, 44, of Houtzdale died on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on August 13, 1962 in Clearfield, a son of Charles G. and Josephine R. (Lansberry) Viard.
Mr. Viard was formerly employed at DC Guelich Explosive, Edmunds Contracting of Frenchville and Brink Transport.
He was baptized and confirmed catholic in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Frenchville.
He graduated form Clearfield Area High School in 1980 and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1172 Madera.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Megan Viard, Ryan Viard and Logan Viard all of Houtzdale; a sister, Rhonda L. Smith of Curwensville; maternal grandparents, Harold V. and Eleanor R Lansberry of Morrisdale; and his paternal grandmother, Agatha Viard of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by two infant brothers and his paternal grandfather Thomas Jefferson Viard.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield at the convenience of the family with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo officiating. Interment will be in the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Moshannon Valley Black and White Club, or to the charity of one's choice.
