Robert Alan Butler, 59 of Stronach traded the pains of earth for his heavenly home at 7:00 a.m. February 25, 2019 at Jefferson Manor, Brookville. He fought a valiant fight against cancer.
He was the son of the late Roy C. Butler and Betty McCall Butler of Stronach.
Bob was a graduate of the Curwensville High School Class of 1977 and a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Grampian.
Bob enjoyed music and played with the band Split Decision. He loved fishing, the outdoors and dog training. Bob began his working years with Beverage-Air in Brookville. Later, he worked in the construction industry throughout the south and southwest. Upon his return to this area he developed DA Worm Farm bait shop.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Tania, her mate Andrew Himes, grandsons Kayge and Kain of Reynoldsville; his brother Dr. Thomas Butler and his wife Lisa of Bellefonte; nephew Rhett Butler and wife Katherine of Virginia; nieces Gail Butler Varaly and husband Dr. Jonas Varaly of South Carolina; Erin Butler Smith and husband Jeffrey Smith of York and Leigh Butler and Marat Tomaev of Hummelstown.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 6th Street, Grampian, PA. Reverend Edward Gresick will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 6th Street, Grampian, PA 16838.
