Robert Croft

Robert Guy Croft, 70, of Woodland, died on Monday, June 5, 2006 at his residence.
Born October 17, 1935, he was the son of the late Guy S. Croft and Rebecca (Hughes) Croft.
He was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School in 1953 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served a tour of duty in France.
Mr. Croft was employed by Harbison Walker Refractory Company for many years. He later was employed by Wal-Mart Distribution Center as a truck driver until his retirement in 1999.
He attended the Ashland Wesleyan Church.
In 1958, he was married to the former Dorothy Kowalski, who survives. He was the father of two children, Guy William Croft, who preceded him in death January 3, 2005, and Mrs. Robert (Veronica) Chumrick of Ebensburg. Also surviving are daughter-in-law, Mary G. Croft of Marseilles, IL and grandchildren, Natasha Croft, twins Kira Croft and Kyle Croft, Joshua Chumrik and Amanda Chumrik.
Also surviving are the following brother and sisters, Rev. John L. Croft and wife Naomi of West Decatur, Mrs. Ralph (Doris) Mahlon of Greenville, Mrs. James (Joyce) Dale of Curwensville, Lois J. Croft of Curwensville, and Mrs. Ronald (Rebecca) Landis of McAlisterville. A brother, Donald F. Croft and an infant brother preceded him in death.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Joe Rohrbacker officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post No. 6 and Clearfield VFW Post No. 1785.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9:00 PM and Friday from 10-11:00 AM.
