Robert L. 'Butch' Davis, 63
of Curwensville and formerly of Osceola, IN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He passed away at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born on February 24, 1954 in South Bend, IN, a son of the late Robert and Nancy (Helvey) Davis.
Butch was an owner operator truck driver for many years having traveled to 48 states. He then was employed by Sapp Bros. Trucking as a fuel hauler.
He was Christian by faith.
Butch was known for his love of telling stories and jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor 'Ellie' (Russell) Davis whom he wed in Las Vegas; two daughters, Melissa Davis of DuBois and Becky Davis of Curwensville; three granddaughters, Emilee and Camryn Spencer, and Mylah Drobny; a brother, Rusty Davis and wife Teena of Osceola, IN; and a sister, Candace Martin and husband Eric of Lincoln Park, MI.
At the request of Mr. Davis, there will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ellie Davis, 131 Allegheny St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
