Robert Alton McKee Jr., 72, of Clearfield passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born on August 19, 1951 in Clearfield, a son of the late Robert A. McKee Sr. and Eleanor (Cathcart) McKee.
Mr. McKee lived his entire life in Mt. Zion. He drove truck for RES Coal Company and retired in 2014. He enjoyed going to the fair, and enjoyed watching the races. Above all, he loved spending time with his "little buckaroo", his grandson.
Mr. McKee served with the U. S. Army Big Red 1 at Fort Riley, KS during Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Cowher) McKee whom he wed October 19, 1974; three daughters, Shana Davis and husband Darrell, Carrie McKee and companion Max Salada, and Megan McKee; a son, Michael McKee; a grandson, Nathaniel McKee; three brothers, William McKee, Scott Allen McKee, and Edward McKee; a sister, Deborah Luzier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra McKee and Twila Jones.
Honoring Mr. McKee's wishes, there will be no public services.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
