Roberta M. 'Bertie' Erickson, 97, of Curwensville died on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at her residence.
She was born on April 8, 1912 in Bloom Township, a daughter of the late Herbert R. and Rebecca (Whitmer) Kendell.
Mrs. Erickson worked in Connecticut most of her life before returning to Curwensville. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Dolores Kendell, of Hudson, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Erickson, in 1984 and whom she married in Connecticut in 1941, two brothers, Arthur and Denton Kendell, and three sisters, Marion Bachelier, Roxie Read and Thelma Bloom.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian, RD.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 803 Susquehanna Avenue, Curwensville or Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
