Rodney E. Dunzik Jr., 36 of Altoona died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Altoona Regional Health Care Systems, Altoona Campus.
He was born on December 29, 1971 in Bellefonte, a son of Rodney, Sr. and Virgina (Guy) Dunzik of Philipsburg.
Mr. Dunzik worked as a security guard for Securitas. Prior to that, he worked in sales for various agencies.
He was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiance, Stephanie Mills of Altoona, who was the love of his life and whom he really adored, a paternal grandmother, Violet Dunzik of Philipsburg, three aunts and two uncles; Amelia Marie Schultz of Piedmont, SC, Mary Haversack and husband Jim of Hyde, Kathleen Guy of Woodland, Anthony Guy of Clearfield, Gary Dunzik and wife Pat of Kylertown and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William Dunzik, his maternal grandparents Dominic and Lillian Guy, and three uncles; David Schultz, William R. Guy and Nickey Guy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 6-9:00 PM and on Saturday from 9-9:30 AM.
A Christian vigil service will be recited at the funeral home on Friday at 5:45 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
